A student pursuing an MBA recently faced a challenge while searching for a long-term apartment in Paris. Due to a lack of time and opportunity to arrange accommodation beforehand, he was faced with the harsh reality of the rental market in Paris. After numerous unsuccessful negotiations and disappointing apartment viewings, he finally found a landlord who agreed to rent out their apartment.

However, the initial joy and excitement of finding a new home was short-lived. On the first morning, he was abruptly awoken by loud noises coming from outside the apartment. Upon investigation, he discovered that the source of the noise was a school yard across the street, where young children were playing and making loud noises every 15 minutes. The constant noise was so loud that it felt like it was in the apartment, even with the windows closed. This went on non-stop until lunchtime, making it impossible for him to study or work from home. As a result, he was forced to move out of the apartment the same day.

This experience highlights the importance of considering all potential sources of noise when selecting an apartment for long-term rent. It's important to thoroughly inspect the area during different times of day to ensure a quiet and peaceful living environment.
